Tasty Grab-And-Go Healthy Vegan Snack

Although it is best to go without a snack to keep your blood sugar steady, often small children and busy adults can get hungry between meals.  

This one’s super easy!

With just two ingredients, that don’t need prepared – other than a quick wash.

My kids love to have little dishes of snacks pre-prepared. That way they can help themselves to a healthy snack. While feeling organized.

GRAPES & PISTACHIO NUTS

  • Grapes 1 cup
  • Pistachio nuts ½ cup

Preparation Method

Step 1

Wash and dry grapes

Step 2

Pour a handful pistachios, and a handful of grapes into your container (zip lock bag/ food storage container)

What’s It Good For?

Grapes

Grapes are often depicted as offerings for the gods – and for good reason. These little sweet juicy fruits are filled with antioxidants. The highest quantity of the antioxidants is in the skin and the seeds. One of the most studied antioxidant compounds in grapes is resveratrol (a type of polyphenol) that has been found to lower blood sugar and protect the heart.

Pistachios

Pistachios are little powerhouses of nutrition. They’re especially high in copper, thiamine and vitamin B6. Vitamin B6 is important for healthy blood oxygen content. Like almonds, pistachios are great for weight loss because they allow you to feel fuller for longer.
