I was surprised to find out that a lot of vitamin D3 supplements come from Lanolin – so they are not vegan. I don’t really take many supplements at the moment – I have mainly been taking super foods and smoothies with super foods but not really any supplements.
I think that it is important for me to share that the majority of vitamin D comes from lanolin. So we must look for vegan alternatives.
You to get vitamin D2 in plant foods, and a sustained diet rich in D2 and sunlight should be enough. Be sure to get out for a 30 min walk and show your arms and face to the sun. Full spectrum SAD lights are also good.
